This project is a specialized web application that bridges the gap between genealogy and proactive healthcare. Rather than just building a traditional family tree to map relationships, this platform allows users to securely log, track, and visualize their family's comprehensive medical history across generations. The application empowers users to identify hereditary patterns and recurring diseases within their bloodline, transforming historical family data into actionable, life-saving health insights for the future.

๐ŸŒณ Interactive Lineage Mapping Users can easily build and navigate massive, multi-generational family trees using a highly optimized, drag-and-drop canvas interface that prevents visual clutter even as the family expands.

๐Ÿงฌ Hereditary Health Tracking Each family member profile acts as a secure medical vault, allowing users to log pre-existing conditions, genetic markers, and historical health events (e.g., "Grandfather: Type 2 Diabetes").

๐Ÿ“Š Generational Risk Insights The system analyzes the input data to provide visual heat-maps and health risk indicators, helping users easily spot which medical conditions are tracking heavily across their specific family lineage.

When a doctor asks a patient, "Is there a history of heart disease in your family?", the patient often has to guess. I designed a scalable, intuitive canvas interface that simplifies the creation of infinite-scrolling family trees. To solve the medical tracking problem, I integrated a "Health Passport" panel within each family member's node. When a user clicks on a relative, a clean side-drawer slides out, allowing them to view or input medical records without losing their place on the broader family map. By using subtle color-coded indicators directly on the tree nodes, users can instantly see the flow of specific hereditary conditions at a glance, turning raw data into a visual health story.

  • Traditional Genealogy Sites (e.g., Ancestry, MyHeritage): They are excellent at mapping historical records and DNA, but they entirely lack a structured, actionable UI for tracking ongoing medical histories and hereditary disease patterns.

  • Personal Health Apps (e.g., Apple Health): Highly secure and functional, but they are "siloed." They only track the individual user's health and fail to map how diseases move through a family's bloodline.

  • ๐Ÿ’ก The Strategic Pivot: We identified a gap for a "Generational Health Dashboard." I focused on designing a UI that merges the visual mapping of a family tree with the secure, data-rich environment of a medical app, ensuring strict data privacy hierarchies (e.g., who in the family is allowed to see whose medical data).
